Hand-in-a-live-box work, or plugging in lighting fixtures work?
I no longer work in boxes any more live than a disconnect, and I certainly stay out of anything over 240V, but I prefer NOT to wear insulating gloves in either case. I do like to wear gloves thick enough that fine-wire feeder doesn't poke little holes in my fingertips, but that's all the protect I want in that situation. I feel like there is too much chance for overconfidence when wearing too much protection.
Gloves for working hot? There's some requirements that those need to meet, and one presumes that you're also wearing appropriate arc-flash protection as well.
Otherwise, it's simply standard work gloves, of which there are several styles to choose from based on personal prefererence.
