A while back Google removed the standard filtering option for limiting search results to discussions and about 6 weeks ago they shut down the work arounds. I'm rather unhappy about this since I do find it very useful depending on what I'm researching. I'm curious what some of the brilliant minds of this forum think.
I read up a bit on the topic and it's quite fascinating. I was actually part of a gaming forum (I'm young, remember?) that crashed starting at the same time as the timeline outlined in this thread: http://www.webmasterworld.com/google/4641876.htm
In that particular case there were other issues, but out of curiosity I forwarded it to the current webmaster of the site's successor for his opinion.
