Any way to link up a pair of auxes on an LS9? My desk is already loaded for the gig so I can't play with it.

Yes. Although I can't remember exactly how it's done. I think when you bring up the "mixes" screen by hitting enter when a mix knob is highlighted there is a choice to make the mix stereo. After that, the Odd number knob sets level, the even knob sets pan.

Sure, hit the SETUP key, until you get to the mix bus setup and click there. With you can switch pairs to stereo.

I don't have the number on me at the very moment, but Yamaha does have a 24x7 phone number staffed by people who
A) know the products
B) have access to the products

Support is what makes a pro company pro, and Yamaha does pretty well in that regard IMHO.

I will be making this change once we set up on Sat.
Crazy gig. Four hour setup and sound check, two bands at 6pm, 50 min each, 1.5hr load out. Outdoors, right on a river with a nice little amphitheater.
I have minimal info from the bands but one guy with 3 keyboards has in-ears but didn't specify stereo so I want to prepared to give it it him.
I suspect an SM81 on the front of the deck pointed toward the audience should give him the ambiance he needs.

I wouldn't worry at all about an ambient mic. He'll get plenty through the vocal mics.
