Re: System expansion quandry

Hey Folks,

Just a followup.  I'm still looking and thinking and comparing.

The SLS960s are probably still in the lead, but some other cabinets have got my attention as well.  One thing I thought about..when I was in Germany there was a company called Seeburg who were actually not far from my house.   I used to rent a rig from them on many occasions and was always impressed with it.  Construction quality was fantastic and the thought that went into the details was obvious.  They handled well, stacked cleanly, transported nicely and sounded great.   Since I hadn't looked at Seeburg's product line in a while, I took a look at their web page and what do I find beyond a plethora of tall, skinny speakers and the ubiquitous line arrays?  A double 12" horn loaded cabinet that seems to be everything I'm looking for.   Its light, loud, has a tight pattern, arrays well, is efficient and includes some of the best integrated flying hardware I've ever seen.  Now if I could only figure out where to get the required $3500 a box plus overseas freight costs......drat, drat, double drat.....
