System Tech Toolkit Item Preferences

Re: System Tech Toolkit Item Preferences

Hey Dave, what would you suggest as far as training and education in the RF field goes for those of us who don't have the corporate backing to bring that training in for a whole department. I.e. where do us lone gunmen go to learn and practice this stuff?

The best way is to go have sushi with Henry and Stoffo.... ;) Sennheiser offers a program, details at http://www.sennheiserusa.com/aboutsec_events_seminars_rf-sound-academy

Shure also has some programs, here is an archive... http://www.shure.com/americas/support/training/materials/index.htm

Here is the program details and calendar. http://www.shure.com/americas/support/training/advanced-wireless-seminars/index.htm Might be worth a call into your local rep and see if they can arrange something through the local.

There was just a press blurb on AES programs and those are usually good. Syn Aud Con now has online training but I haven't yet seen an RF module.

As far as practice, you've got a multi venue joint. That's the best practice ground there is.

I've been having very similar thoughts, Dave. I think I'll start looking into that more seriously, coordinating wireless would be a nice feather to have in my cap and I suspect I could get reasonably good at it. Much higher cost of entry than the other things I do, but perhaps a natural extension of my system engineer-iness.
