URGENT: More studiolive problems.

Re: URGENT: More studiolive problems.

Sounds strange...my first thought was this...when the console shows no input, look on the top buttons...there are some buttons that have a symbol that looks kind of like a nuclear radiation symbol. This button switches the input channel over to Firewire return (in other words, it would route the FW sends from a PC/laptop, into the input channel).

If this button is lit for all channels then for some reason the desk is switching it's inputs to Firewire and, thus, since you're feeding it from an analog split snake, the chan's wont show any input.

No idea why switching sample rate would cause what you're describing. Feeding it analog in from a copper split snake should make the sample rate irrelevant.

The Firewire buttons are OFF and I also tried switching them on and off as well.

Evan, you said that someone else had used a computer with it. If they tried to update the firmware that was older than 1.13 with the most recent software it will tank the system and no inputs is typical.

Yes the software will ask to automatically update the firmware even though it is unable to.

I tanked three different boards straight out of new stock while trying to purchase one last February.

I wonder if this is what happened. Because this band has used this board flawlessly until now. Only thing that changed was when the fill in engineer plugged in his computer. However the band has used the console once since then where it supposedly worked fine.
