When you do have an app, you buy the system it runs on. The choice of platform decision should be totally based on utility and ROI. There is no "premium" for buying Apple, there is only a premium for buying top of the line on either platform, or buying bargain oriented hardware. For a professional tool, I would be buying top of the line no matter what I was buying. My 3 year old iPad v1 still does all I need it to.Mac
