X32 fader position info

Hello from Finland

Seems I have been barking around wrong tree, banging my head against wall, pissing in my pants, whatever.

I wrote about this earlier but made mistake and was asking how to use MIDI - should have been OSC - or whatever else might work

Inspired by the video of Kevin Hunter in YouTube, where he controls a scanner with four channels of X32 - very nice.

I have this idea of controlling a heap of DMX lights with just one fader.

My situation is, that I work alone - have small PA-rig with X32R -  control it wit iPad and have laptop on amprack as safety mixer, in case  iPad/wifi goes haywire.

I also have some dmx-LED-PAR cans, which usually are set in fixed colour or maybe some of them react to sound.

I would like to set one fader of X32R - perhaps VCA8 - to be outputted  via "your suggestion here" from X32R into the laptop and have 128 presets in a light  program. Dimmest situation on fader down with increasing light  density and variations towards fader top - laptop would then output info via USB/DMX-converter into  lights.

So - between songs I could move VCA8 a bit in some direction to change  preset - perhaps even move it up & down in tempo to create "wild  stuff" towards end of night - finally pull fader down for blackout.

So far nobody has been able to tell me how this can be done - while Kevin has done it in youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1cAqEBzCY4

Now what I need to accomplish this - is something ready to load into my  computer with instructions and info of what to set up in my X32R

Instructions and info of how to set up my X32R to get control-information  of fader of my choice is actually all I need from you - there are some  light-jockeys to help me with laptop and light-control-program.

NO "computer-geek"-stuff - more likely "easy-go for dummies"

Naturally all this with limited budget...

Thank you for reading
