Dear Uli,

thanks for the reply - just to let you know I still have a working DDX3216 and indeed used it last weekend - it was ( and is) very intuitive and flexible for the price - I always wondered why it was discontinued - rumours at the time were that it was developed prior to ROHS requirements and hence was no longer compliant - I think this reason came up when trying to source additional direct out/in interface modules
