Re: Send on faders on custom keys I could see losing at least most of the local i/o on the X16, but I think at least some should be kept. And instead of just line level, I think there should be at least a few mic pres. What about putting a couple TosLink the X16? That way if you needed i/o at the console you could just hook up one or two ADA8000's. If all you need is local (nothing but wireless mics or copper's already there), then three ADA8000's is still cheaper than a S16 (two in and one out). I really wish the X32 had local TosLink i/o. (Can we get a card that's like the current card but with TosLink, too?) I wonder if only being able to route in blocks of eight will end up creating more challenges on the X16 than it does on the X32 because of the lower channel count. Maybe the X16 will be able to route in pairs or at least groups of four? Not suggesting that Behringer should (or does) copy anyone else's design, but I would seem that the iLive R72 is the most comparable product currently on the market. So what should Behringer do differently than A&H for a 19" X16? I think a channel strip would be really nice, even if the only feedback is on the screen (that is a channel strip with just rotary encoders and no indicators). That being said, Steve Pattison certainly seems to make it work. Being able to hook up the BCR2000 or the BCF2000 would be great, whether it's a 19" small format mixer like the R72 or a 2U CORE. Heck, I think that that would be a nice feature to add to the X32.
