Re: RMA'd Hey all. Just chiming in to say that I received my X32 a few days ago and have, what I am guessing is, a similar issue as Mr Eric Hill to my channel 32 preamp. The noise I get when I crank the input gain on 32 sounds like a CD skipping and I also pickup a lot of noise when I move any of the surrounding faders. After speaking with Behringer CS I was informed this issue is known and will be addressed in an upcoming firmware update. I am unsure what the actual issue stems from, my personal belief is that it is hardware related, but will wait to see what proposed solution comes forward. Besides that, it seems that everything is working as advertised and I am very thrilled at the capabilities of the unit. I am wondering if anyone knows the innards of the X32. Are the section of 8 preamps/ADCs all on the same board and easily replaceable? If this is deemed as hardware related I would hate to ship this back to the repair facility for something I can easily do myself. One thing I noticed is that Behringer is really interested in the success of this product by the amount of firmware updates and the presence of CS reps in different forums. I have a request to current X32 owners: 1. load the default scene without any effects or weird routing (I am using the factory scene 1) 2. Unplug any inputs for channels 1-32 3. Turn the preamp gain to 100% for each channel 4. Select the "meters" tab and then go to the "in/out" page 5. Observe if there is any consistent noise/activity on any of the input channels Here is a screenshot from my board:
