Mute Group Setup Confusion (Linked Channels) I was setting up some Mute Groups today, and noticed (what I think is) confusing behavior, in regards to linked channels. Firmware is 1.07. I’m doing this from memory. Forgive me if I make a mistake: 1. Select a Channel. (Let’s say Channel 17.) 2. Make sure it’s linked to its neighboring Channel. (Let’s say Channel 18.) 3. Select Mute Groups. 4. Hold down the Mute Group 1 button (for example). 5. Press Select on Channel 17. The Select light will illuminate on Channel 17, but not on Channel 18. At this point, it appears Channel 17 is part of Mute Group 1, and Channel 18 still needs to be assigned to Mute Group 1. (This is not the case, as we'll see in the next two steps.) 6. Let go of the Mute Group 1 button. 7. Hold down the Mute Group 1 button again. The Select light on both Channels 17 and 18 will illuminate. This behavior is not consistent with the channel Mute button behavior, nor is it consistent with the channel Solo button behavior. (When either of those are pressed on a linked channel, both illuminate.) In my humble opinion, to avoid confusion, that when setting up Mute Groups, that the Select lights for linked channels should both go on/off when either is pressed. Eric H.
