re: X32 Discussion Was playing around a bit last night, still haven't cleared space to set up properly - just needed to verify a couple of things. When turning everything up to max, ie. 60dB gain and +10 on the faders, the noise was very consistent on all channels and very even and peak-free on my simple iPad analyzer app, very good, looked like pure thermal noise allthough I didn't try to freeze the preamps with liquid nitrogen or CO2 to verify ;)~;-)~. Playing music off the USB stick, it looks to me like the clip light is pre-trim, quite annoying. Some of my backing tracks are very hot, normalized to 0dB, so even at maximum (or minimum if you like?) trim of -12dB i still was 6dB above a nominal -18dBfs that I believe is the agreed upon "0" reference level. Since most files run hotter than -6dB, -3dB is quite convensional, I believe the trim should be made to go to -18dB if not -24. Not a biggie, but still.
