re: X32 Discussion There are 2 scenarios I can envision: 1. Return only the L/R buss from the DAW to a pair of inputs on the X32 Here's how I do mine: Press ROUTING next to the LCD screen On the "home" tab, in the far-right column, you should see "Aux In 1-4" - select "Card 1-4" On your Aux/USB/FX layer, the first 4 faders will correspond to the first 4 FiWi/USB returns from the DAW. You'll need to make sure you're sending your L/R buss from Reaper to your intended target pair, via the Routing Matrix screen 2. Return the 32-tracks to individual faders on the X32, ala "Virtual Soundcheck" Again, press the ROUTING button next to the LCD On the "home" tab, in each of the "Inputs <x>-<y>" columns, scroll down and select the corresponding "Card <x>-<y>" option Make sure to configure the Routing Matrix in the DAW to map the 32 tracks to their appropriate card return channel Note: this will only work if you have 32 returns configured (i.e. 32x32) Regarding the transport control bits, it completely depends on what medium you're using for your MIDI traffic - FiWi, USB, or the 5-pin DIN connectors on the back of the X32. You'll hit the SETUP key next to the LCD and page over to the 'remote' tab. Here you can 'enable' the "Remote Button", as well as select your Protocol and Interface. Also note that I had some problems with MIDI control data over USB - works like a gem over FiWi and "Card MIDI". Your mileage may vary. Hope this proves useful.
