re: X32 Discussion

Hi Jan,

First I would also like to introduce myself. My name is John DiNicola and I am a BEHRINGER Product Specialist in the NYC area, covering the Northeast US.

The routing configuration you used looks correct to me, so I am thinking the problem may be on the software/computer side.

I know myself and others on our team have tried a similar configuration successfully with the Waves MultiRack host.

Does your software program have settings for "buffering" If so, I would try raising this a notch or two (For example: 128 rather than 64, or 256 instead of 128).

With higher buffering, the load on your computer is reduced. Keep in mind that there is a tradeoff, as higher buffering will increase latency.

I am not sure why you had success when routing back to AUX 1-4, as it should not matter where you route the signal back on the X32.

Were you only processing 4 channels on the computer when you did it this way? Perhaps the computer was bogged down when processing 32 simultaneous channels.

One final thought is your digital trim settings on your inputs. When using the FIWI or any other digital input on the X32, the Mic Amp Gain encoder will control a digital trim (ranging from -12dB to +12dB). If the signal coming back from your computer is a bit hot, then backing the trim down a few dB on each input channel could help.

Please send a PM to Chris or myself with some more details on your computer (OS, Software Package, Hardware, etc) and we will do our best to advise further.

Hope it helps!

Best,

John DiNicola
