The Busses can be Pre or Post fader of course, but not the Main Mix. The "insert" on the Matrix can be selected Pre or Post.Just as a suggestion, if you have a stereo bus still left available maybe you could use it as another version of the Main Mix instead of a Matrix. Alternately, perhaps you can switch what roles the Matrix and Main Mix are playing so that the Matrix is the thing being turned down while the Main Mix can stay up.
