A guess of explanation:

Behringer invented new parameters for the matrix busses.

Initialising the console asures to bring those new parameters to a default value.

Your saved scenes didn't contain those parameters.

Loading and saving the scene saves the new parameters in your scene.

By the way, if you look at a saved scene or show file it looks like a list of OSC commands.
