Sorry to hear that you are having trouble.
The issue you are having with XControl is because USB functionality has not yet been implemented, you need to connect via the Ethernet port labeled REMOTE CONTROL. In addition, there is a separate USB port next to that Ethernet port that will eventually be used for interfacing with XControl via USB. This is completely different from the USB interface on the XUF card, which is why your XUF control panel worked while XControl did not.
We have successfully tested the X32 with Sonar on PC and had no audio problems. Since your computer is connecting to the card it seems more likely a driver to PC issue than a faulty console or card. Hopefully the reinstall / restart worked out.
