Suggestions for 2.0 Here are a few suggestions, with reasons why: 1) When linking two channels, they automatically pan full left and right. When unlinking those channels, the pans stay left and right. They should go back to the middle. 2) I'd like to see a steeper high pass filter on the mix busses, same as on the inputs. I like to use more of a brick wall to keep gack out of speakers that can't handle it. 3) The narrow end of the Q range is not narrow enough on the parametric EQ, particularly on mix busses. When looking for feedback, a scalpel is better than an axe. The BSS Omnidrives had .05 octave as it's narrowest setting, which seemed right for surgical work. 4) Also regarding Q, it should be labeled in octaves rather than a number from .5 to 10. As someone who works with music, I have an idea of what an octave means, regardless of frequency, and have little idea or have forgotten what the Q numbers mean. Looking in the manual just now yields nothing, and I am too stupid to relate the Wikipedia article about "Q factor" Q factor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia to audio. 5) Also in the EQ section, Mode change (particularly in the High and Low buttons) should be done by simultaneously pushing two buttons (High/Low and Mode), rather than by simply pressing Mode. The way it is now, it's easy to either do the wrong thing or go past where you wanted to go, and have to toggle through all modes (no going backwards). That is not a disaster on the mid-frequency buttons, where the only options are PEQ or VEQ, but on High and Low you are forced to go through High Pass or Low Pass, each of which drastically changes the sound even when momentarily engaged. For that matter, why is there a High Pass on the Low button when there is a separate High Pass encoder on each input? 6) Lastly for now, the mono bus send encoder on each channel has unity at maximum, similar to the Monitor pot. When using that bus as a subwoofer send, it would be nicer to have unity at 2:00 or thereabouts, so there is a way to have more sub than unity gain on some inputs. It might also be nice to be able to do a "Sends on Fader" for the mono bus, although without a select button it's hard to imagine how that could be implemented. Yes, you could use a Mix Bus, but the dedicated encoder on each channel and the dedicated Master fader are RIGHT THERE and wanting to be used... Thanks for listening, and for continuing to make a good console even better.
