Show report Just wanted to report a successful experience with X32. So this was a the final act of a contest that saw 13 bands (all of them with good stage experience - they were finalists...) on stage for a total of 10 hours (15 hours of work). Indoor venue, pretty much we managed the setup. 26 channels, LR+Sub FOH, 6 wedges. everything done from FOH position. GEQ calibration (with X32 pink noise source) and sub level done in preparation (this I remember was the only relaxed moment of the day - alone with earplugs...). The conditions were tough from the endurance perspective, I had to be my own backliner and light man for the first 6 bands then some help came. Each band had 10 minutes to prepare on stage and 10 minutes for lines check. The sound was done on the fly. And this is where I was pushed to be faaast with the X32. Result: totally successful. X32 experience: - Multitrack recording prepared on DAW/Mac and hitting Rec. Not a single glitch. Tracks ready for studio editing now. - Workflow are getting embedded and starting to learn ho to get quick adjustments: eq, gate and compression, per channel, sequential on more channels, per group/buss. Effects adjustments.. Faast. Faaaster! - On pre-show glitch when recalling a scene from internal scenes froze the board. Rebooted and ready to go. What I missed or it's not clear: - The sound level leds on DCAs. Please add this! When I set KBD1 and KBD2 and KBD3 DCAs, I cannot not guess which one to touch... - rec/stop button for pausing the DAW without grabbing mouse all the time. Eventually I gave up in fear of making mistakes in a rush. BTW is it possible to configure some of the custom buttons on X32 to go send rec/stop without entering in daw mode? Oh my, it IS possible. Room for improvement on my side... - If I mute a channel on FOH, which Bus setting ensure that it will be muted also on the wedges? PreEQ - PostEQ - PreFader - PostFader? Ah I may have missed something here, as well on how to make stage quieter - excluding completed muted channels (unused mics). - When sends on fader is active, and I push MUTE on one of the busses "to be sent" is it muting per channel/bus mute combination? Thinking in matrices is not easy :?~:-?~:???: Overall tough and fun. thanks
