Charlotte, NC – WNAMM 2019 booth 14504… Neutrik’s XIRIUM PRO v3.0 has been announced as a nominee for the 34th Annual NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Awards in the category of Outstanding Wireless Technology Achievement. Presented by The NAMM Foundation, The NAMM TEC Awards are bestowed annually in celebration of the pro audio community by recognizing the individuals, companies and technical innovations behind today’s sound recordings, live performances, films, television, video games and other media.
Peter Milbery, President of Neutrik USA, commented on the company’s TEC Award nomination, “We are honored to have received this nomination. XIRIUM PRO v3.0 is a unique product that greatly simplifies system connections by eliminating the cables. This makes long distance ‘cable runs’ not only safer, but far more practical. Being a company recognized as a provider of connectivity solutions, XIRIUM PRO v3.0 not only expands upon and reinforces our company mandate, it also represents a solution that, presently, is very distinctive both in terms of its design and abilities. We are most appreciative of this recognition.”
The nomination announcement follows a two-month call for entries of standout technical and creative products and projects that have made a significant impact on modern sound and music. A panel of respected industry voters from pro audio publications as well as members of professional music, technical and creative organizations, along with select NAMM members carefully evaluated each entry before selecting XIRIUM® PRO v3.0 for the nomination.
Central to XIRIUM PRO’s robust performance attributes is Neutrik’s DiWA (Digital Wireless Audio), which provides compression-free, FCC license-free, wireless transmission of audio within the 5 GHz band. XIRIUM PRO v3.0’s software now offers an Advanced Mode that provides additional control and settings options. Version 3 includes a new Temperature Monitor that displays the temperature—Low, Good, High—of the base stations utilized in a XIRIUM PRO system. Additionally, Version 3 incorporates considerably expanded operation and help documentation—enabling users to get up and running faster. XIRIUM PRO’s antenna options have also been upgraded. There are now two directional antenna options for use exclusively with XIRIUM PRO receivers. Further, the upgraded package also has provisions for a variety of remote mount antenna options.
The NAMM TEC Awards will be held in conjunction with The NAMM Show on Saturday, January 27 in Anaheim, California. The event begins with a reception at 6:00 p.m. followed by the awards ceremony at 7:00 p.m.
