YOSO Rocks the House with Community M-CLASS Monitors

Chester, PA – September 2011… Featuring Toto singer Bobby Kimball and Billy Sherwood and Tony Kaye of Yes, supergroup YOSO creates a powerful musical blend that combines the sounds of both bands, with complex yet accessible instrumental passages and catchy pop vocal hooks.

YOSO’s unique musical style and heavy instrumentals are evident in their premier album Elements, which debuted in 2010. The album release was supported by an international tour. Live performances included classics from both Yes and Toto, as well as new music from the album.

As YOSO’s FOH Engineer Paul Doty, CEO of tour providers West Coast Sound and Light, explains, during the U.S. leg of the tour the band used Community’s M12 Ultra High Performance Stage Monitors, selected for their high fidelity and crystal clear sound. But during the European leg of the tour, they opted not to take along their own equipment, relying instead on equipment provided at each venue. “We had an opportunity to work with, quite frankly, a cross- section of the industry’s best monitors,” says Doty.

The M12 Ultra High Performance Monitor has a unique horn pattern that delivers even coverage while keeping energy away from stage, allowing full-range monitor output close up or at a distance. A high frequency horn is molded into the faceplate to either the right or left of the low frequency driver for ‘mirror-image’ pairs.

Andy Cross, Monitor Engineer reports that the M12’s horn pattern provided outstanding sound coverage with exceptional clarity and high power output during YOSO’s live performances.

“During the world tour we would frequently hear what an exceptional monitor the M12 is. The sound is outstanding and it’s very low profile. It sounds great and it looks great! ” says Cross.
