JBL SRX Discontinued.

Re: JBL SRX Discontinued.

Wouldn’t the used neo cabs become worth more than they are now?

Actually PRX618S-XLFs are what I’m concerned with at the moment… wondering if I should do some shopping real quick.

Re: JBL SRX Discontinued.

I have literature, but I'm not sure if I can post it without getting my hand slapped. I'll find out from JBL Monday if I can release it. So, till then.......

Re: JBL STX800 press release

I have a bittersweet feeling about this line-up/change over. Why no more Dual 12??? But here are my 5 minute observations. They gained weight :(, looks like the speakers gained about 7-8lbs per driver; except for the STX818 which gain 20lbs.

STX812m - looks about the same as the SRX722; it does go a little bit lower, hopefully the Lows are stronger. Why did you remove the dual angle pole mount?
STX815m - Yes its now a monitor, but why couldn't you give it the same fit/form as the SRX712m/STX812m/VRX915?
STX825 - 90x50 horn?? This box is "louder" than the STX835 which has a separate MF.
STX835 – 60x40 is good; but I was hoping for a re-tooled SRX738 with a 15" instead, like the PRX635 or VP7315/64DP.
STX818s – too heavy (100# yikes)!!! But it looks like your can integrate the STX818 and STX828s together on the same stack.
STX828s – There is more handles and now you can “add” JBL wheels

Re: JBL STX800 press release

Looks like the
±3 dB spec on the STX828s is 45hz, compared to the 33hz spec of the SRX728s. If accurate, I'm curious as to how this new sub will sound in the real world. More kick/impact than oomph/pant flap?

Re: JBL STX800 press release

The 835 reminds me of an old EV X-array box design. I'll be very curious to see how the new boxes sound. They look promising on paper! Truck pack dimensions, mode handles... Grills are a little funky, but as long as they sound good, who cares!
