My question maybe the dumbest of all, but can you please share your wiring diagram please? and how you setup the hardware to tune the system using Lake Processing software?
Please and thank You
Please and thank You
The mfg's don't want anyone doing this, they want their stuff to be "proprietary" to sell more hardware - it's that simple. This isn't rocket science.
I have a project started active tri-amping 16x JBL VT4886's. Crown amps and Ashly 4.8SP processing. Once it's done, I'll post the results.
What are you trying to gain by tri-amping these boxes?
Yes pleaseTo summarize it, the OP pretty much nailed it: "I got sick of manufacturers say no you can't use your Powersoft amplifiers and Lake processors, you have to use our special (re-badged and inflated priced) amplifiers".
Mine reads: "I'm tired of hearing from mfg reps and others saying; no you can't use your Crown Macro-Tech & XTi amplifiers and Ashly processors, you have to use our special (high-priced) amplifiers and secret presets".
To respect the OP, I won't crap this thread up with my rationale or project. If you are genuinely interested PM me, or when it's done I'll post up a thread on the what and how + results both in testing, listening and practical application. Or, it could be "What I learned", before in the end, doing it their way - but, I don't think that will be the last chapter in this saga.
Yes ... that was the idea, improved directivity but the effect is minimal ... and I wanted to keep the box as small as possible and there is really not enough room on the front for a couple of simple round ports.DIY noob here, what are the effects of having the ports on the sides rather than the front (provided they could fit)? Does this help with directivity or frequency response at all?
same question !is there any plans on this boxes to share ? or is it a private personal project only.
Peter Morris hasn't been on this site since Jan 4, 2024. Agree with Jason Joseph that Face-space will get quicker attention.@Peter Morris - same question as above, have a CNC and interested in building these as a not-so-DIY but DIY project.
Anything you would do different in 2024?
Cool, keep us posted.I reached out separately to Peter, we'll see if he is willing to provide plans for this.
