Speaking of Namm, look what finally seems to be near completion (I was skeptical).... the fabled X32, now supposedly functional and to be on display at NAMM. $2500. Their Aviom-style hardware is also supposedly shipping ASAP.

BTW, they have also announced an iPad app, editor app, and HUI compatibility for this.

It will be interesting to see if this puts some pressure on the market. I expect it will if they can somehow figure out how to make it reliable.

I just hope they don't insist that it be shipped air-ride like they do with the iLives. If they do it will add 10% to the cost, which is a total fxxking waste.

I have not had that experience; from what I've seen, iLives ship Fedex with insurance, which costs a couple hundred bucks per half. Paying $400 for quality shipping for a $20,000 console isn't a big deal, IMHO.
