The only thing good about the Switchcraft is that they make a male cable version, which can come in handy in some cases.

But I agree-they are a piece of crap. It is shear luck if you can get the shell on-with a lot or force.

As far as I know Neutrik doesn't sell the male version in the US-only overseas. I wonder why???

You can get the Neutrik NLT4MX in line male at Parts Express, B&H, Full Compass and I think at Markertek. There the heavy duty
STX series and run about $9 each.
I made up some break out and Y cables with them.

Thanks-I have not looked lately-but a year or so ago it was a different story.
