"Best" wedge(monitor)

Re: "Best" wedge(monitor)

I can't think of a monitor that is as small as the 712, under 40 pounds, anywhere near as loud, AND under 1000.

Re: "Best" wedge(monitor)

Looks like the "Rider Acceptance" got thrown out the window. I wonder how many of your clients have even heard of the last two suggestions?

I'm still curious about this statement: "I would +1 the SRX712m, they are so popular they have been un-discontinued so they will continue to be available new"

I will ask again - Where?

If you want rider acceptance you will need to spend more than $1000. You really need things like this –

http://www.l-acoustics.com/products-115xt-hiq-38.html
http://www.turbosound.com/docs/products/TFM-560.shtml#toggle
45°N Monitor - Nexo

They are dedicated wedges, generally no fly points or pole holes.

For general purpose applications I use these -
http://www.rcf.it/en_US/products/touring-and-theatre/tt22
http://nexo-sa.com/en/products/27/ps15-r2/

They have fly track, pole holes, go very loud, sound great, much better than the JBL, but are more than $1000.

The JBL is excellent value, goes loud, light weight, sounds OK, some level of rider acceptance, but it doesn't come with fly track.

For dedicated wedges we use these TMW-115 Switchable passive/bi-amped floor monitor : Turbosound

The L'acoustics HiQ are pole mountable, and the PS15R2 is both pole mountable and has fly track on the sides and top.

Re: "Best" wedge(monitor)

If we are talking about multipurpose box (not a floor wedge), then i dont think you can find anything louder and smaller then this.

BoldAudio - Products - BA12

Sorry for self advertising.

I'd love for you to back this up with a sample box... I've emailed you off the bold audio site and emailed [email protected] around 9AM this morning... still no response as of 1:40 est ... You must be boldly gone where no email has gone before....

Shane,
The engineering department is in Europe. Most of Marjan's posts come in the middle of the night for us.

Yes I understand Marjan is in europe, I see his posts in the morning but who is fielding the bold CANADA email address ? I would assume someone
is in Canada or North america getting that email... yes , no ? Are they going to do business with me while I'm in my hugh heffner(sp) smoking jacket and slippers watching jay leno?

Come on.

Re: "Best" wedge(monitor)

If you want instantaneous communication, try a telephone.

Depending on the service provider, you don't even know if the message was delivered in the 4 hours you allowed.

Your absolutely correct .... I posted (in a hurry) the wrong link for the Nexo, I meant to post this one this one 45°N Monitor - Nexo, and the PS15 next to what I have for general propose boxes in addition to the RCF.

...but didn't know the L-Acoustics had a pole hole, I don't use them very often. Thanks.
