Core Knowledge?

Re: Core Knowledge?

I found my little two gig HP drive. It's the only one the big board likes. Both are now at 1.5. Not liking what I'm reading in the Denon manual. The Iphone app isn't for this player after all & I don't see one for the Ipad....

Re: Core Knowledge?

So I contacted Denon to ask them if I could control this machine via wirless ios. Here was there response:

Thanks for your email.

Yes, you can wirelessly control the 700C using its web GUI. Once the unit is on the same network as the iOS device, open up the browser and type the 700C’s IP in the address bar. Once the web GUI is loaded, you will have control of the device.

So can I get a suggestion on what to set he DN-700 IP to & is it even possible to run it & the core from he same router?

Re: Core Knowledge?

I set it to the same settings as the core, typed the address into my phone & the app was there & working. Sweet. So if I set the dn-700 to 10.0.1.3, the ipad to 10.0.1.4 & then setting the ipad to 0.0.1.5 should operate the core, but I'd also like to be able to operate the dn-700 with the ipad for redundancy. Same with the phone. What would I need to do to make this possible, if it is?

I hope you didn't' give the Denon the same IP address as the Core.

The DN 700 may, or may not be controllable by 2 devices at once. Why don't you try it?

Re: Core Knowledge?

I gave the core a 10.0.1.2 & the Denon a 10.0.1.5. I can "toggle" back & forth between the two on the ipad. For some reason the phone doesn't want to play ball at the moment despite having all the same settings as the pad. Now if Apple could only run two windows at a time I'd really be set.....

Re: Core Knowledge?

I see many gigs this summer, me sitting wherever I want, running the media player & core from the Ipad mini, with the cellphone in my pocket for backup......

Lance,

Two devices that are simultaneously connected to the same network must have unique IP addresses, unless you use DHCP AND you only use one OR the other; you cannot use them simultaneously when they are addressed the same.

Re: Core Knowledge?

OK, I'm hoping you guys might help me out with what is probably an easy operation, but is currently eluding me. I have two show files saved to a usb stick. These came from the the x-32 console at our church. I need them on the core so I am going to add them to the scenes that are on my x-32 console, then load the entire show to the usb & onto the core. I am having a hard time making this happen. Could someone please help me with this?

To the best of my knowledge this is not possible to do from the console. It *might* be doable if you can open 2 instances of X32edit on you computer and drag/drop scenes between showfiles, a la Yamaha. Give it a try and let us know if it works.

Assuming you are using X32-Edit or the console to do this, you first need to load one show, in the case of the console, the one you already have in there. Then go to scenes view and utility. You will now have the import scene option available. Select an empty slot, and import one scene from the stick. Pick an empty slot for each scene you import and repeat till all scenes have been imported. Export the show.

Re: Core Knowledge?

Now I'm just having a routing issue. I'm using only one s-16 snake right now. When I have it on 9-18, I get L-R audio out of outputs 7 & 8. When I have it set at 1-8, I get nothing. What is my mistake here?

Re: Core Knowledge?

you are changing which AES50 bank that the s16 is seeing

sit down with the manual? [i guess you could call it that...]
and fool with the display for a few minutes

it makes sense once you know what you are looking at
but it is not real intuitive

that screen was the only thing about the whole x32 line that baffled me

fwiw

Re: Core Knowledge?

While this is an interesting topic I feel it more belongs at the behringer forums dedicated to the x32-family since others can benefit from it as well.

If you haven't, register yourself over there and participate with all the other dudes...
