Helge take a look at Digico's tech bulletin. They recommend against doing it because of grounding issues and its catastrophic affect on the system. I have not seen a patch panel in the field but I am sure they have happened.

Thanks for the tech bulletin

Plenty of BNC feed through connectors in isolated D-size housings, should take care of any potential earthing issues IMHO.

Almost positive the only desks that use Alps are SD7 and SD5. I think everything else is P&G
