Firmware updates, in general, are best done when there is time for something to go wrong. Especially since, if something does go wrong, you could be left with a device that needs to go back to the manufacturer for recovery. But I haven't done a FW update on the consoles in question, so it's possible that everything will go smoothly.
If somebody is yet willing to do that, then maybe I'll update it in the 90 minutes I have before Friday's show. Or maybe that would still be stupid!
