That a tough one; I wasn't able to do a direct comparsion at the store; but I think the SRX718s has more to give (from what I own). I don't think the PSA1S can go as low; it didn't sound like it. The one thing I liked about the PSA1S is its compactness.
The LS2100P has more rumble than the SRX728; but the SRX728 has more punch than a LS2100P.

Thanks Matt. If you were to consider powered subs maybe to accompany a pair of your new db monitors as mains for a killer little rig, what would you look at?

If I was looking for a powered sub for these tops; I would have to eliminate any sub with an IEC plug. My reason: I can carry less power cables (Edison to Edison, Edison to PowerCon, and PowerCon to PowerCon). Also with IEC; it’s much more difficult to build my own power cables. If I was to make this move, I would sell all my SRX718s and IT8000 and carry 1 type of sub (I like redundancy within my systems).
But I would look at the VRX918SP ($2000) as my first choice (I like the way the SRX718s sounds); but also I would look at the RCF 4Pro 8003AS ($1900). I think the dB DVA S10 cost a little to much ($2600).

Thanks. If they sounded good over a SRX718 they will probably sound good over a PRX618S-XLF, which has a slightly higher crossover. Has anyone heard that combination?

That is something I wonder... My biggest thing is will a VRX918sp get just as loud as a SRX718s? Or is there to much protection processing in the VRX that compresses and limits everything.

AFAIK VRX918SP uses essentially an Itech amp module rated at 750W continuous, 1500 peak. I'm willing to bet that it would be about the same as an SRX718S powered with Itechs using the proper limiters.
