Used the Aux fed sub setup for an early show today. Worked great. Really tightened things up. Vocals were clearer, bass and kick had more definition.

Glad you got it worked out.

I have been there with a similar problem. Soundcheck the entire band and then get to the soft spoken female vocal standing in the line of fire of the kick drum. I ended up switching her over to a hyper-cardiod condenser that I had to tighten her pattern. I actually checked her first because I knew there would be feed back issues in the wedges and when I went to check the kick drum I realized what we were up against. Mute her mic and the kick sounded beautiful, open it up and it became crap.
