X32 rack availability

Re: X32 rack availability

Thanks guys. Of course after I posted this I checked zzounds and their site had changed from preorder to in-stock so I ordered one there. Hopefully the stock status was correct.

Re: X32 rack availability

American Musical shows them in stock. They also offer a non interest payment plan if you need. $300 per month over 5 months, with a $10 service fee up front. I have purchased a couple pieces that way for my personal system and it really helps out in a pinch....

Re: X32 rack availability

I bought one from Guitar Center in my town (on a promise that it would be delivered in a week by the clerk) and it has been almost 30 days since I paid in full for the console and now they are not answering the phone at Behringer (I went to GC today to check up on it). I plan to get a full refund Monday and since it is now a pressing issue I might actually be forced to buy another brand from another store. The complete lack of communication from Behringer is not something I look forward to dealing with. Its like a clusterbuck at this point. Too many promises to too many customers and now they've shut down AGAIN and are not answering any inquiries. I am a behringer supporter and already own and use a full sized X32 in my rental inventory. With what Behringer has released I feel foolish paying more for a console I'll sell in a few years, but I have no choice. I need a rack mountable digital mixer with remote surface control. At this point there is no way to say for sure who is a reliable source for an X32 Rack. People are acting silly over this. Good luck. I'm sure we will all get one sooner or later.

Re: X32 rack availability

This is should be a case of shooting the messenger. If the clerk promised you delivery without an actual confirmation of shipment that their bad. As far as a lack of communication on Behringer's part, first off the clerk is not calling Behringer, at best he is calling Behringer's distributor, so, even if the distributor handed the sales clerk a load of sh*t, which based on my experience with that company is not likely, it is a stretch it blame Behringer for this. Second, if the sales clerk called today, why would you expect someone to be there to answer the phone on a Saturday, let alone the Saturday of a holiday weekend? This hardly constitutes a "shut down" or a "complete lack of communication" in my book. Based on my experiences dealing with GC, I doubt there are any promises made here except the ones made by the GC sales person. As far as finding a reliable source for the x32 rack, any number of online retailers report it as in stock. Call them, confirm the availability, and order it.

I actually went to GC Friday not Saturday (my bad). I have been consistently getting the best prices around from this kid for years (and the X32 and X32 rack were no different). He always does what he says he is going to do, but he is not a person of power in this situation. I am inclined to believe (based on the evidence available to me) that it is not Darryl's fault, but it is the fault of the folks who do have the power and responsibility in this situation. Behringer had a complete blackout of customer service contact for months this summer, right after I bought my first X32 full size. For this reason, they are already suspect in my book. Relationships matter most to me and I like to get to know the sales person. I'm not going to throw the kid at GC under the bus for this error. If it wasn't for a particular event I have obligated myself to in December I would just wait it out quietly, but I need this thing now.

Get your money back and order one from a source w confirmed qtys... Sweetwater has them...

I was watching Sweetwater (this forum will not allow me to add a hyperlink to the website in question) and they sold out and are back to "more on the way". Same thing with zzounds.com Full Compass claims to have some, but it says 1 to 2 day wait before shipping and they might not actullly get it here any faster. Everywhere else I have checked is out of them. Besides that, the kid at GC gives me the best deal I can get and I have grown to trust him. He sold me my first full sized X32 and the case for it and I haven't found anyone else who is willing to show the same willingness to work with me.

Re: X32 rack availability

I do some business with Starin, Behringer's distributor in the US, who I am sure is who your salesman called. I checked, I got an email last week informing the customers that they would be closed on Thursday and Friday of this week for the Thanksgiving Holiday. So, again I don't see how someone not answering the phone on a day that the company is closed constitutes a shut down or complete lack of communication. As far as last summer, while admittedly inventory was spotty, and information on some products that hadn't been released was limited (and that is still the case), that again hardly constitutes complete blackout of customer service contact nor is that something that is limited to Behringer products, and I never had any issues getting the product information I needed as long as it was available. The only concrete evidence I see is that GC took your order, GC took your money, GC guaranteed delivery, and GC was unable to deliver you item.

Pretty happy with my X32 Rack system I've put together. Full band PA available in a 10 space rack. I hope to swap out one of the amps soon with a 4 channel amp, which would give me 4 monitor mixes instead of 2 without adding another amp rack.

The only disappointment I've had with the mixer so far is that during the startup process, it outputs a lot of noise for about 10 seconds as it boots. This is a problem if there is an unexpected power outage on the mixer and it comes back on before I'm able to kill the power amps. These amps have a fairly long boot time as it is, but the mixer makes noise longer than that. Really wish the unit would completely mute the outputs until it was ready to rock.
