Re: X32 rack availability
Doug Johnson ^ "This is should be a case of shooting the messenger. If the clerk promised you delivery without an actual confirmation of shipment that their bad. As far as a lack of communication on Behringer's part, first off the clerk is not calling Behringer, at best he is calling Behringer's distributor, so, even if the distributor handed the sales clerk a load of sh*t, which based on my experience with that company is not likely, it is a stretch it blame Behringer for this. Second, if the sales clerk called today, why would you expect someone to be there to answer the phone on a Saturday, let alone the Saturday of a holiday weekend? This hardly constitutes a "shut down" or a "complete lack of communication" in my book. Based on my experiences dealing with GC, I doubt there are any promises made here except the ones made by the GC sales person. As far as finding a reliable source for the x32 rack, any number of online retailers report it as in stock. Call them, confirm the availability, and order it."
I actually went to GC Friday not Saturday (my bad). I have been consistently getting the best prices around from this kid for years (and the X32 and X32 rack were no different). He always does what he says he is going to do, but he is not a person of power in this situation. I am inclined to believe (based on the evidence available to me) that it is not Darryl's fault, but it is the fault of the folks who do have the power and responsibility in this situation. Behringer had a complete blackout of customer service contact for months this summer, right after I bought my first X32 full size. For this reason, they are already suspect in my book. Relationships matter most to me and I like to get to know the sales person. I'm not going to throw the kid at GC under the bus for this error. If it wasn't for a particular event I have obligated myself to in December I would just wait it out quietly, but I need this thing now.
