HPF = 110 Hz 24 db/oct L-R - and my subs are LPF @ 100 Hz, the TH115s are pretty efficinet in the 100 Hz range and don't really notice a hole there.
Xti 4000, I don't use the limiter b/c I am not maxing them out, and I don't like the limiter on the xti series.
EQ is relatively flat, they sometimes get peaky in the 600 Hz area, but nothing that can't be easily tweaked.
Hi Rick. I just ordered a pair of sm 80s. Very excited! I will be running them off a ITech 4000 with SRX 718's, up to 8 of them. Do you mind if I pick your brain?

What are you using for high pass filter on the sm 80's?
Limiter settings for the cabinets both rms and peak?
Any specific eq tuning?

My first gig with them will be a 600 person convention hall with a rock band next month.

Thanks,

Jonathan
Hey Ferrit. That would be great, you could just email them to me please, that would be great. adam AT rationalacoustics dot com. Thanks.
Hey Adam, I have a lot of mixing resources from my EAW console days, where should I send them? (@20mb)
cheers

Hello Luigi.

I am very interested in your Arduino Due project. Congratulations on your excellentbwork. Would you be kind enough to share a parts list and software code for the EQ display?

Thank so much,

Thom

I already have a American buyer who contacted me last night. If the deal go's south your third on the list. Ill keep you posted.
Hi Brian, very keen to buy you Midas Pro1 as advertised. I live in Perth Western Australia 6065. Would you consider selling it to me and freighting it here. Let me know so we can arrange it. Thanks in advance. Kane
Peter ... where-abouts in Australia are you? How are you involved in sound? Just interested.

Hi Phil, I appreciate your straight ahead approach. I didn't want to post this on the open forum. I'm going to put together an acoustic/elec group that in the beginning won't need to be excessively loud and my stage volume never is. With that in mind and, in theory, all things being equal, which I understand they're not, would 1-Danley-TH-Mini work better that using 2- Yorkville UCS1's?
Could I get REO Speedwagon Tech Rider from you? Doing research on venues and need to have this and see how it applies to new safety standards in Indiana. Thank you!
Hey ya John, sorry to bother you, i've got a little question regarding using a piezo tweeter to set gain structure. I've bought a piezo and I can hear the harmonics when I put a 400hz sinewave through the system and set gain structure, but the harmics are so quiet that I have to put the piezo right next to my ear in a very quiet room to hear it. Should the harmonics be that quiet? I thought when you hear the harmonics telling you that you're at the clip point that it was supposedly to be quite loud and definately clearly audible.
Thank You for your offer but all the units are gone now.
Each ADA 8000 would develop a noise. It would be in just a few channels, and turning it off and back on would fix it for a while. As I said in the post, one of these did it right out of the box and I returned it for credit. After that, as each one did it I would replace it and advertise the defective ADA8000 on Ebay. I sold each one clearly stating what I have said above. I imagine that people bought then because they were working in some sort of a studio situation where they could work around the problem.

Those of us using ADA8000s for SAC are using them live and we just can't have a unit fail under live conditions.
We now have 3 FocusRite preamps and one PerSonus.
BTW The ADA8000s were mounted with a half rack space between them and run on 108 volts.
I happen to have the date code on one unit because a Ebay buyer asked for it. It was 0912

Frank
Dear Frank, in line with my earlier message I would like to follow up with you and see how we can help. Please provide me with the data so we can contact you, get the units fixed and also understand what the root cause is. Cheers. Uli
