2011 LAB / SFN EXPO / SMAART 2-day May 16-19 in MA

Re: 2011 SoundForums.net Expo

I'll be looking out for those with considerable interest. The stuff I was interested in watching on the web stream unluckily coincided with other work I couldn't avoid.

Maybe I'll manage to get over in person next year. The arrival of my first child five weeks ago thwarted my plans to attend this year.

Congrats - I'm in a similar situation - my #2 is due in 7 weeks, so couldn't spare the time and take the risk of an early arrival.

Re: 2011 SoundForums.net Expo

I had a great time once again.
(minus the downpours)

It's great to see familiar faces and make new connections in a such a friendly low key environment.
Thanks to all the presenters for teaching me a thing or two.

Re: 2011 SoundForums.net Expo

Nothing quite like seeing 10 highly trained audio professionals running away from a pair of double21subs in a small hallway after they suddenly and unexpectedly came to life at high volume, belching dust from their innards and rattling plaster and light bulbs from the ceiling. Fortunately the circuits they were on gave it up after an extremely long 30 seconds.

Re: 2011 SoundForums.net Expo

I still maintain that someone from the wardrobe department are having a laugh with those things. It was good to come over the SMAART class is teaching me lots and hopefully today's class will do more. Thanks to all in arranging ths esp Bennet and David N also thanks to Dave K for " entertainment" in the evening on monday:)) G

Correction accepted. Sorry I could not see clearly as my glasses were bouncing around on my nose and the air in the room was shimmering.

Re: 2011 SoundForums.net Expo

Anyone have video of when you guys cranked those beasts' up?

I would love to see the reactions. I'd also like to hear them.

Wish I could have made it! Too damn busy down here. That's a good thing though.

Pat

I don't think we took any videos of it, but we'll be posting a gallery of all the pictures taken by Chuck Harrigan as soon as he gets through all of them.

Re: 2011 SoundForums.net Expo

Sorry i couldn't make it this year but I was busy adding to the toy fund ;). I kinda thought it might get "interesting" bringing one of them 4x21's into that small a space . Aren't each one of those good for about 2000 people 8O~8-O~ ?

Re: 2011 SoundForums.net Expo

Guys what's the loading on the JD21 subs? How many 21's are in there?

ScottH

Just one (I hope it is not too disappointing). Backed by two 18s.
Bennett has specs so he will be able to send them individually or he might even decide to post the spec sheet here. I don't mind.

JD21 is ending the prolonged beta testing and will be awarded the status of a product any time now.

While I'm at it ... here's the secret revealed. Enjoy

With utmost respect

Thanks, Ales. Now I'm really intrigued to hear this sub!

I don't think anyone will be disappointed. I've heard great things about your other products.
