Pardon my ignorance but I didn't follow why what you said had anything to do with ADAT? I also did not follow how what you said allowed the X32 to be a control surface. It seemed to me that you were routing the rack inputs to the X32 and the X32 outputs through the rack outputs? That seems more like using the rack as a stage box.

I was specifically answering how to use the Rack as a stage box. The ADAT I/o reference was just part of the comparison as the S16 has two extra ADAT outs that the Rack lacks. Hope that helps.
