Heritage for openers, Headliner preferred SAC System

Re: Heritage for openers, Headliner preferred SAC System

Perhaps...but it's the best I can afford...and it sounds great.

The problem isn't necessarily that it doesn't sound great, but that many of the clients likely to employ you have never heard of the TVI brand, or at least don't know the specific product.

It's a lot easier for another provider to sub-hire in an esoteric console like your Midas, for the occasional rider that demands such.

By then said hypothetical provider already gained the business via a tour manager (or other relevant decision maker) who recognized and was familiar with the brand of loudspeakers on offer.

No kidding, my wife still works at Kodak . . . for now. Yeah, she's the one.

Your Kodachrome is a great example of Analog Denial. At one point Eastman Kodak had many of the early relevant patents on digital image sensing and some significant IP on non-silver image printing. EK management didn't exploit these assets either internally or via licensing, preferring to believe that Thee Olde Ways would always remain. Backward thinking took down a great company.

edit ps. The last roll of Kodachrome processed in the USA (and maybe the world) was done about 80 miles east of me in Parsons, Kansas. At the end, EK was sending 'chrome there for processing.

Yeah, Kodak practically invented digital photography and had one of the first digital cameras available, but their "Frankenstein" destroyed them. Irony!

Several of the BE's I've had on my system had heard of TVI. The one's that had not heard of it thought it sounded great, so what's the problem here? This is more of a hobby to me than a business. If it makes you feel any better I'm actually thinking about buying an M7 for a monitor console to go with the heritage, my A&H ML doesn't have enough mixes for some gigs.
