... is analogous to how a race car handles after bouncing off the wall..., but IMO it is generally not a good idea to spend much time bumping into the wall.

The mind boggles. John explained that Behringer makes there own Faders (which are replaceable individually if & when one goes down) This was a significant saving for them which helped keep the cost down (when they started designing the X32 they thought it would be in the $5/6k range so kudos too them for bringing it in under $3k.
Yes, probably already is by default, but haven't been able to verify that. This may be a dumb question but can you assign the AES/EBU output as the main output? That way it would remain digital going into my processor (EV DC One) and skip the d/a and a/d conversion?
Thanks
Has anyone come across North American case makers for the X32? I have seen ones in the EU..... and any info re timeline for Behringer to ship their own road case? (this was confirmed a while back).
From a guy who spent $10k recovering from my last not so gentle encounter with a tire wall, I'd have to say that's excellent advice...
FYI - Guitar Center now shows the X32 as in stock in the US - not at the retail stores, but in the warehouse. I called, had them confirm that they indeed showed in stock, and promptly ordered one. Now, let's see if it ships in the next day or so

If Uli doesn't start delivering these sharpish - in time for the autumn run of gigs I would say - then 1000's of pre-orders are going to turning into 1000's of pre-cancellations
Just got the tracking IDs from Thomann.
Let's wait and see how fast UPS delivers ...
