X32 Discussion

Re: X32 Screen Accident

My order at Thomann says expected 15/10/12 ( expected!!)

Yes same date for me :)

The good thing for me is that my X32 arrived this morning , yipee . Been playing all day . Anybody else from Scotland waiting on one ??

Got a 19 track mix running thru it just now from Cubase and its sounding pretty damn good. No faults found and Im managing most things without looking at the manual

Time to go play again.

Re: X32 Screen Accident

I don't mean to derail the thread but it's related so I'll do it anyway.. haha! I set up a X32 Facebook discussion group page if anyone is interested. Just a simple page to post questions, ideas, post pics, etc..

Log In | Facebook

Edit: For some reason this forum defaults it to 'Log In | Facebook' but you can click on it anyway and it'll take you there. The actual url is..

Code:
http://www.facebook.com/groups/BehringerX32

Re: X32 Screen Accident

I'm sure this has probably discussed but I'll be damned if I'm gonna sift through 72 pages ;) How is the scene recall on the X32? Decent setup for a theatre group?

Spencer im new to this forum but have been following this thread since page 2. I think you may find what your looking for on page 7 nicks thread 127 and christians responce 128. hope this helps.

re: X32 Discussion

Hi could someone confirm if the pre's will except unbalanced line-level with a TRS to xlr adaptor ? there is talk in this tread of useing DI's to interface line level inputs, but the user manual introduction it states "Each of the 32 microphone inputs can accept balanced or unbalanced mic or line-level signals" what is correct ? :)~:)~

HuH! Got the case yesterday (9th) but the X32 only arrived at depot yesterday afternoon - and despite saying "on time" for end of day on 9th - now looks like the delivery will be today!!!!

I think this is the case - the inputs have a high 12K ohm impedance and will accept line levels - see SOS review - see earlier comment re this

I just connected the stereo out from my laptop via a stereo trs to twin mono unbalanced xlr and it worked no problem. The signal from the laptop was really hot and the gain on the x32 is set at 1/4.

re: X32 Discussion

Hi there - first time poster and proud owner of a new X32 for our church. So far very impressed but I'm stuck and hoping someone here can help me.

I have a Wireless beltpack signal connected to x32 input channel 15.

I want to send a signal to Buss 9 and then route that level into Audacity to record it.

I have loaded x32 USB driver onto the PC and am using 16in/16out settings.

I have playback from iTunes coming into x32 but I can't seem to route Buss9 to Card Input 1-2 into audacity to record a stereo track.

Any assistance or advice you can provide will be appreciated.

Thanks
Marty
I know I can record directly to a USB stick from the desk. That works ok.

Thant won't work. The 32 recording tracks are feed after the MicPres 1-32. You can patch the Bus output9 to one of the 32 inputchannels, but than you have to deal with double ADDA convertion.
But why don't you record the input 15 directly? There is imho no need to record the buss, when it is just one single signal. Or am I missing something here?

re: X32 Discussion

I think it will work, in the "Card out" tab in routing you select "Out 9-16" as the source for the "Expansion Card Output 1-8"
Your buses are normally routed to these outputs, but just in case make sure in the "analog out" tab. If you are not using these outputs, you might want to set the tap at prefader if you don't want to control the level with the bus faders.
That should get you the signal into the computer on ASIO channel 1 and 2, and then you have to make sure you have patched it right i Audacaty
