Save show scenes lib
I want to backup my show of last weekend, so I can reuse it again. The whole saving is not that clear to me. I watched the
[h=1]Behringer X32 - How to Save Scenes to USB Drive
[/h]You tube film and that showed me to use the utility button to save the complete show. Is there also some more in depth story available? I'm a bit anxious to wipe my x32, and find that I forgot something to backup...

Hi Antoon van den Oetelaar,
To export an entire show: press the view button within SCENES. Next, press the UTILITY button. There will be an option above the sixth encoder to Export Show to USB Drive. When selected, you can re-name your Show and all will be saved. Also, make sure you have no "Safes" checked.

Because if I have them checked they won't be on the backup?
Is this a way to have this out of the backup, so when recalling it, it won't override the console settings?
And which safes are you talking, the scene safes on the home page, the param safes or the channel safes.
Is it correct that I assume that only the unchecked items are saved, and if I recal them I can choose to add additional safes on recall?

X32 with AirportExpress
A few of you have said that you're using the Airport Express with your X32 - has anyone been using it *without* an internet connection, ie the AE creates it's own network, connected to the X32 by ethernet, and you use XiControl over the AE wifi?
I'm having trouble doing just that - I have no internet connection on-site, but just want to be able to control the desk over local wifi, and use the AE for Airplay to the desk.
it looks like XiControl can see the desk (IP is green), but it just says 'attempting to connect' in red in the status/subnet mask field, and never actually connects...
I've checked that the IP addresses and subnet masks are all matching, so i'm not sure what the issue is, unless you actually need a working WAN connection to connect.
Any ideas?

Have had an unfortunate issue with my S16 - one of my XLR cables has become stuck in one of the inputs on the unit, as the push tab seems to have broken/failed (it's loose and not as springy as the other ones).
I've tried to gently coax and wiggle it out, with no luck. I guess even if I managed to remove the connector, it will be a warranty job to replace to push tab?

Now I only need to find out, what part belongs to the different safes.

Looks like a rack mount x32, maybe the Producer 32 is just a control surface for the "Core" rack unit. And the x32 Compact maybe a 4 (8 chann.) layer version of the x32?
Just my guesses.

Is it posssible/easy to remove the xlr lock thingies on the x32?
I've never been a fan of this locking mechanism as a slightly damaged xlr-shell may become stuck in the socket. If this xlr belongs to a snake then it may become a big issue in the end...

The truth of the matter is that everything gets saved irrespective of settings. The state of your scene safes are saved.
The state of parameter safes and channel safes are not saved or recalled.
Library presets have to be saved individually.

We do what you want, and my kid would be better able to explain how, but I'll take a stab:
We've not had luck getting the iPad to connect to the console using DHCP on the iPad; we've had to set the iPad to Static IP to get it to work.
1) Go to "WiFi"
2) Select the name of your network AirPort. It should either have a check mark next to its name (if it does, you may not be having this problem), or a spinning thing (which is what I had when unable to connect to the console).
3) Click the arrow to the right of your network's name.
4) Click the "Static" button.
5) Fill in numbers of the IP address. We use the same numbers as in the first three sections of the console IP, and change the last number. Don't forget the dots.
6) Fill in the same subnet mask as that on the console, typically 255.255.255.0
7) Fill in the router field with random numbers. We use 10.10.10.10 Don't forget the dots. I don't think there's a dot after the last 10
8) Fill in the DNS field the same way as the Router field. We use the same numbers.
9) Go back to the WiFi page.
10) Go back to the page you were just at to be sure the Static button and static address information is the same as what you entered. If you don't fill in the Router or DNS fields, or don't use the dots, you'll be back at square one and have to enter it all again. I know this for sure.
You should be able to connect to the console now.
On ours, the light on the Airport would blink orange like it wasn't connected to the console even though it was. My kid was able to go into the Airport using a computer (didn't try the iPad) and change something around so that the lights are now green on the Airports, but I don't know what he did. We are not connected to the internet with these Airports.
Hope this helps.
PS I wouldn't think AirPlay would work with the desk unless you had a separate computer connected to the AirPort, too. Let us know if you manage it.

The latch on the XLR female receptacle is not easily removable, and I'd strongly advise against removing it. Most obviously, you'd likely void your warranty, but also you'd lose the assurance of a properly connected XLR cable. The last thing I would want to troubleshoot (having to go behind the gear and dig around cables) is knowing there's a possibility that a cable came unplugged. These same type of connectors can be found on our MIDAS consoles, stage boxes, etc.
