18 sound design

Very good.
Much better than I expected.

I'd say among top five subs I've ever heard.
It can do both modern EDM low note stuff and classic hard hitting rock kickdrum with ease. And it's properly loud without any obvius signs of port distortion.

Bass guitars sounds smooth and even when they move between notes.

Helge,

Your boxes look great and measure very well. I think you have selected an excellent compromise with this design - I have some thing similar but it uses 18 sounds 18NLW9000's - FWIW I just love them :)

It looks like it is -3 around 40Hz? Do you notice anything missing below that point?

Measured indoors in the warehouse it's 35-100hz +/- 3dB, 30-100hz +/- 6 dB.
Not noticed any lack of content below 40hz, powered by a K20 it emptied a shelf of DPA mics onto the floor :p

@Peter. Thanks :) So far this sub has been a joy, really looking forward to doing some gigs with it.

Take it for what it's worth, but this is the actual in-room response at FOH with a live band on stage.
