re: New Midas Pro X Console at PL&S
All the AES50 connections are for Audio. Router control is provided by the HyperMAC link, which is not AES50.
I believe the AES50 router is an XL8 thing.
I've been told by a distributor that he thinks you can put another AES50 card in the Neutron to provide another 8 connections. That would fix the I/O limitation at that end of the multicore.
Time will tell!
The AES50 connections on the board will more than likely be for console audio I/o and control for the neutron dsp core only with all processing/aes50 audio going to the neutron dsp only.
The limit for AES50 connections could possibly be circumvented by using the midas AES50 router.
