tall skinny speakers

Re: tall skinny speakers

While we agree on importance of good pattern control - would it be possible to provide FULL radiation information of Danley SBH speaker - say f.e. polar plots on one octave intervals in both horizontal and vertical in 10 degree steps - or any other method of your choice, that will bring PLENTY of information, but still can be wieved on any computer without fancy programs.

Thank you.
We do not have the "official" data yet on the SBh10-because the guy who does our independent measuring (Pat Brown) has been very busy with other projects.

When he gets caught up we will get him to give full data. Along with our other new SBH products (SBH20 and 20LF).

For now the data we have in our modeling program is some quick data we gathered to give an idea of what is really happening.

Of course you could also ask for the same data from other manufacturers-but in most cases-good luck getting that. ESPECIALLY with column type speakers.

Just make sure the data does not have a lot of smoothing and has not been "modified" to fit a particular "desire".

Re: tall skinny speakers

It's all on thier website. Just download Danley Direct.

Hello

I downloaded both Danley Direct and CLF - where can I find instructions of how to run them. Direct has no instructions and Firefox is blocking CLF - should I use another web browser or what...

Spent quite some time now with this and still can not open the files - so up to now my verdict is, that DAnley is NOT providing easy information about directivity.

Agreed - most companies do not provide anything at all.

This seems to fall in category of specialists assuming, that anybody can operate anything without instructions - makes me feel dumb - and I know I am not.

EDIT

Google Chrome works - now I can open files - plenty of information - thanks Danley, way to go

EDIT 2 I can only open files, that are downloadable - Chrome, too blocks files, that are only "view"

Not sure if Danley Direct is new or not but last time I looked (probably a few months ago) the CLF viewer on Danley's website used Java so depending on your security settings you may have to go into the Java Console settings to allow Danley's site to run it.

While it may be frustrating, all internet users should be aware of what they're allowing websites to run or access on their machines - I guess the default settings in various browsers may be a little different in how much freedom they allow the sites.

HTH,
David.
