Re: Request: Dual mono delay

If I found myself using more than 6 bands on parametric on a wedge and still had problems I'd look a mic placement rather than attacking it with more eq. You milage may vary I guess. :)

Omni earsets and wedges are difficult.

If we look at any feedback control system, we're looking at 12-24 available filters. I don’t think I’ve ever used one in automatic mode, and I don't think I've never needed more than 12.

I'm with you, beyond some point, you have to look at mic and speaker placement. But, even with a decent omni earset, once you add a couple of wedges and the dynamic range of spoken-word, every ounce of additional gain helps.

In any event, the point is moot, because the Q of the existing filters isn't useful for narrow notching in that situation.

Re: Request: Dual mono delay

I dunno, bands of parametric and a hi-pass on the input and another 6 on the output gives you a fairly high degree of control. If I found myself using more than 6 bands on parametric on a wedge and still had problems I'd look a mic placement rather than attacking it with more eq. You milage may vary I guess. :)

Or run the wedge passive..:)

Re: X32 Discussion

Hi,
I've had my X32 for a couple months now and so far so good. The mixer is currently at our practice space. Today for the first time I thought I would create some new routings with xControl (Rev.91) and have been unable create and save my scenes and copy paste channels. The function buttons are available in the Utilities page but are not funcional??? I thought these functions had been activated in the current updates. What am I doing wrong???

Re: old scenes

If you just learn to follow instructions, it is not a problem. You can't be disappointed by the product because you don't want to learn or don't wanttofollowinstructions.I
Save your work, keep it updated and you'll have no problem.

Your pretty quick to judge!. By wiping the console I ment initialize and then tried loading the scene again and the only thing that changed was.my.dca groups j have read every dam page on here. I posted this question twice. Maybe I didn't do it right. But I believe I did ask for help not fucking criticism.

Re: old scenes

Copied from th release notes of FW1.10:

Notes:
• Due to additional scenes parameters (matrix bus options: signal tap, x-over filter in EQ and phase
reverse) all scenes that use matrix buses should be checked, because previously created scenes do
not contain these additional parameters yet. In order to make old scenes consistent with Firmware
1.10 it is recommended to initialize the console, then load and immediately save back each scene.

We followed this instructions and didnt loose a single scene, so what the hell are you guys talking about

Uwe

Did you load the scenes from a USB or just from the board? Maybe I screwed it.up.I don't know

You asked for help, you got help, and from your own account of events failed to utilize the help you were given and proceded to moan about the console.
Maybe you were looking for empathy and someone to go "There, there.." , but the truth is that you'll be a lot better off by following the instructions and keeping settings and scenes you want to hold on to backed up and updated. Call it friggin' critisism if you want, but it is also good advice.

Re: X32 Discussion

Hello guys, i have a very simple concern that maybe somebody can help me verify... When using XiControl offline, if you link say ch 1 & 2, I expect ch 2 fader to follow ch1, but thay are kept independant, is this normal?

I haven't tried it, yet, but there's a pitch shifter in the effects library called. It's called "Dual Pitch." Make sure that you try loading in one of the first four effects slots.

My understanding is that it's unlikely that mp3 decoding will be implemented due to the licensing. However, some of us have submitted a feature request for the addition an open standard decoding and encoding algorithm like FLAC.

I believe it he seems to know alot. im not trying to argue and I appologize . I was and am frustrated Im not bashing the console I like it . i am just having a problem and is probably user error . I did ask once and didnt get any help or direction to go . since i asked again i have gotten some help from the guys on here .I am not just lazy and jump on here first thing asking questions I search first and see what i can come up with on my own. im not sure how i could screw up initializing the board and then resaving each scene . when i bring the cene up the dca sliders move but nothing else changed . i have a couple days before my next gig I am going to try i again.

Re: old scenes

I think it would be better when you post the file in the forum. More eyes will see more;-).

Jeremy, in case you don't know how to attach a file: click "Reply," then the "Go Advanced" button the appears afterwards below the frame for writing. Then you can click on the paperclip icon to attach the file.
