Can anyone advise on the power consumption at 240V? I'm reading the advise here always to use a UPS but I'm wondering what capacity of UPS will be required.

While occasionally I might feel the need during a show to adjust sub level as a whole, I'm more likely to do it on the inputs as I see fit. Unless I'm on my 01v96 and using a bus fed sub setup to save auxes.

Either way, I still like being able to have one fader control both to maintain a balance I've already set. Not a huge deal if I have to burn up a DCA to do it, was just curious if the X32 had a different option.

Hey guys.......thanks for all of the great information on the X32.....I have already paid for mine just waiting to get my hands on it.....does anyone know the name of the iPhone analyzer app that is shown on a lot of the X32 promotional photos (including their official brochure).....would like to get it.

Seems very alternating pictures though, with fan and without....

Correct! Gate & Compressor do have independent Sidechains and Keyfilters. Keyfilters have different slopes, sweepable trigger frequenzy and a SOLO function.

Hi,
the Monitor out can be switched Mains PFL or AFL. Concerning a dedicated sub out. Why not use the Mono out? To my knowledge, there is no linking through layers, sorry.

All, As soon as somebody actually see one of these rare units in the UK for a demo .................. anywhere in the UK, please let me know. There appear to be lots of units demo-ing in the US and absolutely nothing in the UK.

Also, as soon as an actual delivery occurs in the UK, could somebody post to say that arrivals have begun please.

Guess this will get to us last like everything else.

I want to order one for our church, and the S16 plus the distribution unit and 6 of the personal monitors. No idea where to order from though as I've phoned all the usual suspects and none of them have any idea when stock will arrive, how many units they will receive and that they are all unlikley to be able to meet their pre-order demands :( DV247 basically said, Behringer never tell us anything so we've no idea what we'll get or when.. and that applies to all Behringer products never mind new lauches

So if I' m getting this right;
- The Monitor Out on the back is the Main Out by default along with the AES/EBU?
- The signal on the Main Bus is the only signal controlled by the Master Fader, and the Master Fader can not be assigned to anything else?
- The input channels are by default assigned to the Main Bus?
- The Main Centre/Mono doesn/t go anywhere untill it is assigned?

Concerning outputs, look at this-->



Default setting is mixbus out 1-8. If you want the S-16 to play Mixbus out 9-16 f.e., push the "config" button, turn the Adjust enconder and the display will show 9-16. Done! This will instantly displayed with the LED next to the "OUT+8", or "OUT+16".

Firstly Christian, thank you for spending so much time answering everything here. Most questions I had have been answered by reading through this thread.

I understand that for the input patch the inputs must be chosen in blocks of 8 but that after that they can be assigned to any fader you want. To confirm, I could have 8 inputs from the XLR's on the back of the desk, 8 inputs from a stage-right S16 and 16 inputs from a stage-left S16? These 32 inputs can then all be in any order I want on the faders? I'm sure this is correct but just checking.

My questions are about the output patch. Two S16s will have a total of 16 outputs, and the X32 has 16 mix buses. If I set the first S16 to mixbus out 1-8 and the second S16 to mixbus out 9-16 can I then freely patch mix buses to outputs? For example, If I have two monitor wedges on the left side of the stage and two on the right. I would want the stage left mixes to come from the stage left S16 and the stage right mixes to come from the stage right S16 (to save on messy cable runs). I would also want to have my 4 monitor mix bus faders beside each other on the X32 eg. Mix buses 1-4. Having mix buses 1 and 2 on the first S16 output 1 and 2 would be easy, but could I put mix buses 3 and 4 on the second S16 somehow?

I understand I could accomplish this by setting both S16s to output 1-8, but I then only have 8 outputs to stage. This would be OK for almost all situations but it would be nice to freely patch mix buses to physical outputs.

Can I use the mix bus outputs on the back of the X32 while also using the S16s for the same outputs? Say I am doing 6 monitor wedges on mix buses 1-6 and a stereo aux to a camera on mix buses 7/8. Only 8 mix buses total so both of the S16s can be set to mix outputs 1-8. Hi everyone

Sorry if this has been answered already, I have read everything but it wouldn't be the first time I missed a line or two. Also excuse me if I use wrong terms, I've used a digital mixer only once so far.

If I were to use the remote software to mix monitors, for example mix buses 9-16, does the 'actual' mixer change layout when I go to the other buses on the software?
What I'm trying to ask is could I have our sound engineer mix FOH and at the same time have a laptop attached and run Splashtop or similar on my android tablet to mix in-ear monitor mixes?
Since we don't know yet if Behringer is going to make an android app for the remote, that's how I'd need to do it.

Didn't check the AES/EBU but otherwise: Yes

When in "monitor desk use", you can use the Master Fader for your listen wedge. Otherwise it is the Master fader soley.

Sorry, don't get this one. Every channel can directly assigned to the Mains and the Mono out with the Mains Buss buttons and PAN encoder, left next to the Main LCD.

I'm not 100% sure and I don't have a S-16 here, but I think this should work. On the desk itself, all of the 16 mixbusses can patched free. So Mixbus 1 can actually playout Mixbus 14 if you like to. It even plays out, channel 1-32 direct outs, Main even FX out and more. So if you patched mixbus 14 on the console to mixbus out 1, than to my understanding S-16 analog out 1 should be feed by mixbus 14.

Having mix buses 1 and 2 on the first S16 output 1 and 2 would be easy, but could I put mix buses 3 and 4 on the second S16 somehow?

Like I said, this should work. Actually I did this too, when I got a gig with one S-16. Default is, that analog out 15-16 on the console are the mains. So I re-routed them to 7-8, so that there are on 7&8 analog out on the S-16 too.

Probably yes, but I don't have to opportunity to check if that's for sure. Maybe the Behringer guys can provide me some two S-16, so I can confirm that 100%:-)
