Do you have any information on when the past webinars are going to show up on YouTube? It's been a while now.

Re: X32 Webinars

While we wait for some training videos to be posted and cool firmware and app updates to show up soon, I'd love to show a pic of the dual P16-m setup I hacked together...

Gotta run one of the S16 units in mode #7 (splitter). That routes a copy of that S16's inputs to the bottom P16-m, and the top P16-m gets the regular ultranet from the console.

Cool stuff indeed Declan. With that you would also be able to get all 32 channels to pick from. 16 from the FOH and 16 from monitor world, Interesting.

Re: X32 Webinars

With a little bit of careful setup of inputs 1-16 to maximize the first p16-m, you can then mix-n-match anything you want for the second one. The little mixer sounds clean too, and it also has a single pre with a comp that could be used for a single local ambient mic also. I just used a 2x8 and some 4-11/16" flat metal electrical blank cover plates to attach the mixers to the board.

The only real downside to this setup is the wimpy little mini din power connector on the little mixer that carries +18, -18, +5 and ground, nice and plastic, with no locking method. Musicians say they dig it pretty good though... ;)

Re: X32 Webinars

Dear X32 users,

I am happy to announce the availability of some firmware and application software updates, which have even been praised by secret littles birds, recently. We just got Apple's approval for X32-Mix v2.2. And I suppose it will be available in the iTunes store tonight. We are also busy uploading the corresponding firmware update v2.04 concurrently with all updates of X32-Edit 2.0 (Win/MacOSX/Linux) to our website. I have copied some of the respective release info here below, fyr.

The software versions mentioned above are working together and we recommend updating all of them. There is no guarantee that older firmware would work with the new apps, nor the other way around. The only exception being unformtunately iPad 1 users, who have no choice but keeping the old app and staying with console firmware 1.15.

Please be aware that we strongly recommend backing up the internal data of the X32 console on a USB thumbdrive, before upgrading to the new firmware. The upgrade process may reorganize the internal memory and erase all previous show/scene data. Restoring old show/scene data from USB on the new firmware is no problem, however.

The Version 2.0 firmware includes a number of channel, effects and routing presets that were contributed by famous X32 artists. These will be loaded when initializing the console's internal library. Make sure you have saved your own presets on USB or via X32-Edit, before you initialize the library!

Enjoy!

Best regards,
Jan

Re: X32 Webinars

The dowload link on their website doesn't work yet though. Hmm to upgrade now or not, that is the question? I've just finished creating all the scenes, cues and snippets for my next show which goes in this Sunday using 2.02. DO I risk upgrading now, or leave it until after the show....

Re: X32 Webinars

Oh, wow! This update is great news, but I see we lost our "Like"s in this forums upgrade!

That was something I liked about this forum as compared to others.

This is a shame, and is a contributor to the race to the bottom, IMHO.

Thanks for the good news, Jan! Congrats on getting what sounds like a huge and complicated project completed.

Definitely after. Better safe than sorry, unless you can throroughly test it in the meantime and go back if it doesn't work.

Dear Dave,

website links will be refreshed on the external servers soon. For the time being, just use the links from my posting above.
Btw, Your scenes will load on 2.04, if you have backed them up on USB, but of course the decision is yours ;-)

Best,
Jan

...oh, and the X32-Mix 2.2 app is in iTunes now.

I think you're right - I don't have time to do a thorough test now, almost all the kit is packed up ready to load and I've got 14 radio mics to clean, check and prepare for the show. After, it is then.

Dear Jan,

Yes, I have downloaded it using the link above, thanks. The link on the external server has been changed from the 2.02 link, it now points to:

http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/www.behringerdownload.de/X32/X32_Firmware_2.04.zip but that is wrong. The link to X32 Edit is correct though!
