Re: No Master Faser in V2.02

Now there's a useless option, if ever there was one. Why would you ever want to be pre-master fader???

There are no useless options. Think about it, isn't automixer and post fade insert pretty useless for most users? Or any non-mainstream feature?

Re: Control headamps of S16s behind an X32?

When using ProTools 9 with X32 via X-UF card over FireWire, ProTools doesn't see the card in "Preferences". I mean it appears as card, but when selecting "HUI" in Preferences it doesn't see the X-UF neither in "IN" nor "OUT" tabs of ProTools.

Hey Arik,

FWIW, I couldn't get my XUF card to send MIDI to my 2007 Macbook Pro running Pro Tools LE 8 on OSX 10.5. Either FiWi or USB. And it would come up on the preference tab, but when selected would just cause the faders to go blank. If I moved them, nothing would happen in PT, and soon as I let go, the fader would slide down to zero.

I was able to get DAW control working through the 5-pin MIDI connectors and an M-Audio midisport 2x2 instantly. And in case anyone was wondering, I was not trying to use the X32 as my audio interface because PT 8 and prior only allows use of Digidesign units. (Using a 003).

X32 2.0 Firmware/X32 Apps

I'm sure this as been brought up before. But has behringer set an official ETA for the X32-Mix and X32-Edit apps? Seems like everything they keep saying is just "2 weeks" and it will be done, but then at the end of two weeks its "2 more weeks" etc. I wish they would give us actual dates - and stick to it. Oh well, that what you get with cheaper development i guess (well, I've had problems with Midas firmware in the past too so I guess it's not just cheap development)

Let them optimize the Mac code... it's horrible slow unless one stays in the EQ window
OS 10.6.8 that is, and a BCF2000 attached too

Best

Re: X32 2.0 Firmware/X32 Apps

It's not too slow for me when Editing scenes as that's all I used it for. But it does have a bit of latency when actually controlling the board.
Jason, do you have a remote faderbox attached and working, and at least 16 channels displaying levels ?
For all of you that are waiting for X32-Edit...
try the above, and display the >home>home page, connect to a 32 device, and after some time you will notice reaction latencies of more than 10 secs...
Mac mini 4,1 ( Mac mini 1,1 about the same ),
OSX 10.6.8
I know, pure X32Core users are a minority, but
THIS MUST WORK SEAMLESSLY for us X32Core users
Hoping for Behringers work on optimizing code and/or reworking the server
( I think someone from Behringer mentined this in a post... )

Re: Control headamps of S16s behind an X32?

Hello everyone! Somewhat dumb question, couldn't find an answer anywhere in this thread: When using ProTools 9 with X32 via X-UF card over FireWire, ProTools doesn't see the card in "Preferences". I mean it appears as card, but when selecting "HUI" in Preferences it doesn't see the X-UF neither in "IN" nor "OUT" tabs of ProTools.

When connected via USB to the same card, it shows X-UF in both IN and OUT tabs.

Laptop: my backup MacBook Pro 15" non-unibody (2.4 GHz Intel), 10.6.8, I assume the FireWire chipset is compatible with X-UF card chipset.

Any ideas why?

Dear Arik,

We are not aware of any incompatibility, but I could only do a quick cross-check with PT10 / MB Pro / 10.9.2

Sometimes, you may need to manually launch a rescan of new connected devices in the OSX Audio-MIDI Setup. When the X-UF shows up as a MIDI device there, then it should also be available in any application.

Let me know if that resolves your issue.

Best,
Jan

I'm using an X32 Core with a MacBook Air running X32-Edit and a Mackie MCU attached via a MidiSport USB adapter. I've run a few shows like this with no issues or latencies. Running at least 16 channels, usually more.

Re: X32 2.0 Firmware/X32 Apps

Does anyone even have the ipa for X32-Mix 2.1.2?

https://www.dropbox.com/s/e19zusoq9q44l43/X32-Mix 2.1.2.ipa
To install, turn off auto-update on Ipad, remove the app form Ipad and Itunes, drag the old version file (from Dropbox) to Itunes, and sync.

Works on Firmware version 2.0.2, but crashes when pressing the routing tab. YMMV.

On the Behringer download page, there is a new version, 2.1.4, but when you click on the link, the version in AppStore is still 2.1.3. A new version in the pipeline?

Thanks. 2.1.4 was published to the app store, but Behringer pull it down before it got approved by apple. They said it needed more testing, This was over a month ago now.

Thanks for advice, Jan. I did, seems like it recognizes the X-UF now (as X-UF 2317), reads track names from Pro Tools (I mean they appear at channels scribble strips of X32), but for some reason in "REMOTE" mode (REMOTE button on X32 is lit) I can't control ProTools on-screen faders from X32. Works FROM PT to X32 (mean X32 faders are moving when PT faders are moved with mouse). Both X32 and X-UF are updated to the last firmware available from Behringer.

I wonder if you know any other workaround? And thank you for your support!

Re: X32 2.0 Firmware/X32 Apps

Well, I started to checkout the X32 stuff when I got an email from Behringer's kitchen in England...
in 2013, confirming 10.6.8 support...
Maybe that's why the new remote softwares are delayed...

... sorry then

I bought an X32Core and 2 S16 upon anouncement of v2 firmware for Namm 2014 in Dec.2013
The current situation with what should work with the hardware is cumbersome at least.
I can work, but can't use the home>home screen because of latencies over 10 secs...

Hopefully this will be solved
