Uli Behringer of The Music Group Q&A

Re: Uli Behringer of The Music Group Q&A

Hi Uli, I have a GX212 I need the service schematic for repair the Unit is no longer in production....?? Why in the world would you care about giving out or selling me service literature to repair my amp?? I am a certified electronics technician as well as an engineer .. Crate and Peavey and just about every other company gives out schematics.. ?? If your reasoning is to protect a patent .thats the purpose of filing one to begin with ?? If you say your protecting your service centers dealing with a 10 year old amp I would not believe that ..My frustration is you abandoned the amp for a reason? Why not as a owner of the amp deny me of proper service literature ? I will repair it anyway but you could be more friendly with your company.. Thank you!

Re: Uli Behringer of The Music Group Q&A

HELLO

Some 30 years ago I was working in a music store in Bloomington MN - I needed ( actually wanted...) schematics for MXR stompboxes - so I called them - someone, who´s name I´ve forgotten was laughing on phone saying "Of course we will send them to you.." - I thought he was pulling my leg - surely enough, few days later I had an envelope with schematics of just about every box they ever produced.

At same time I was calling Weller soldering-station company to get 110V x-former for my 220V unit - they refused, because I might do something and they could be responsible for consequensies...

I have allways thought, that all those warning stickers in american products are a bad joke, but when the man with expensive suit hands the paper it is not - lawyers prohibit just about anything they can to make money...

Remember that woman who put steaming cup of coffee between her legs - pulled away in her car - later sued McDonalds that her crotch fried - Fried McPussy - if I remember correct she got paid very well ...

I telephoned Bose USA years ago ( very expensive those days from Finland ) to get some replacement diapfragm - they refused, because "It is our company policy." - I can think - if they send me the part and I screw it in and screw it and blame them ( which I would NOT do - how could they ever tell...) - they are better off not selling any parts. Story ended better than well - I found replacement woofer, that was about 8dB more sensitive and had 6dB more power handling and fit the cabinet without modification - customer paid the bill ( less than just original replacement element ) and the thing is still rocking in some corner today...

Perhaps circumstances today have evolved to point, that companies are better off just leaving old things be than try to give info.

Hope they all could use someone to "leak all outdated info" into internet and simply play innocent.....

Dear Sam,

My name is Simon Thomas, and I am the Senior Manager of the EMEA CARE centre in Kidderminster, UK.

Thank you for your post and please allow me to address your issue about schematics.

While we understand your concern, the MUSIC Group does not release service literature other than to authorised service centres for the following reasons.
Firstly, even schematics of discontinued products contain intellectual properties which we do not wish to release into the public domain.
Secondly, we prefer to have authorised service centres carry out repairs to ensure compliance with safety standards and MUSIC Group quality standards due to product liabilities.

We are more than happy to help you get your amp repaired at our own CARE or independent service centres.

Thank you for your understanding.

Kind regards,

Simon THOMAS

that poor woman suffered 3rd degree burns and required skin grafts. She had initially asked for mcdonalds to only cover medical expenses, which they refused. A consequence of the trial is that mcdonalds lowered the temp of their coffee, which was only needlessly hotter than it needed to be so that drive-thru customers would still have burnt coffee on their desks when they got to work.

Re: Uli Behringer of The Music Group Q&A

The Behringer x32 rack has been out of stores in the USA for way too long now. When will they be back in stock? Also why do the USA stores keep saying back ordered to a particular date only to push it back every two weeks? Are you telling me that you don't have a specific date that this item will be back in stores?

Re: Uli Behringer of The Music Group Q&A

my guess would be you have never tried to get a container of
goods from china thru US customs

<btw>
my second rack is en-route
so there is US distribution of the latest shipment
however if you wernt in a que somewhere you probably missed out

one of my buds was waiting...
i got a tracking #
he got a note that said early july

as has been noted-
i believe this particular product
is significantly more popular than they thot

Re: Uli Behringer of The Music Group Q&A

Hi Uli and Staff,

I know this is an old thread but i will post in the hopes that someone reads it.

The only reason i registered here was really to comment in this thread.

Now let me preface this by saying i own several Behringer products and have not ever had any issues.

I am new to music and sound, and just bought a Mesa Boogie amp and speaker cabinet from my dealer to replace equipment i started with a year ago.

I originally wanted to get a Blackstar setup but after reading for hours and listening to the one complaint that was brought up time and again. Blackstar support in the USA is horrible and is done through a third party company.

Due to this i decided to stick with something with a better rep.

So your reputation can hugely affect what people do. Anyways i ended up here doing some reading to find out more about Behringer given my interest in the new KXD15 Amps.

Now my local dealer after inquiring to him about getting some in stock is saying he is not sure he wants to order or carry Behringer anymore due him having alot of issues both through Starin and the Vegas support center to handle his warranty claims.

He showed me a shelf of mostly brand new stuff which according to him he has a hard time to get anyone to assist him with getting exchanged or repaired.

I have no reason to believe that he would lie or have any reason to convey me to buy something else. I spent thousand of dollars in his store and never have recieved any bad advice.

Personally I like Behringer for what i need and never had any issues but I would hate if my dealer decided to stop carrying it after reading through this thread.

Is it possible someone from Behringer can reach out to him since i would hate for him to stop carrying Behringer as I have never had issues.

In fact reading this thread and Uli's comments and replies along with his staff really encouraged and changed my view for a more positive outlook on the brand itself though that will not help if my dealer has the complete opposite outlook.

My dealers store is Center Stage Music in Augusta, GA

If you need PM me for contact info. I told him i would post to this forum. Owners name is Stewart

Uli and Staff, Keep up the good work.

You have enabled people like me to get into music at an affordable cost. Now help convince my dealer as well :)

Best Regards,

Casper Fagerberg

Re: Uli Behringer of The Music Group Q&A

Why nobody respond to my question, it is a very simple question, I will repost in this tread :
Hi All,

Is there someone who has any information about the TLX-42 and 84 from TS. There is not much information on the website, no Ease data and or a prediction software. I want to know if this product is available, price point, scalability, sound quality ...

Thanks,

Othmane

I want to know if I wait or I go to RCF ?

Re: Uli Behringer of The Music Group Q&A

Hello,

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Andrew Pardoe and I am a Senior Manager, Acoustics at Turbosound. I have around 20 years of engineering experience and worked at several world renown audio brands including Turbosound several years back.
I re-joined the company last year and have personally been involved in the design of the TLX line array. While the original ELX design was under the Behringer name, it was actually designed with the help of the Turbosound engineering team.
However the new TLX Series has been designed from the ground up and now with Turbosound technology, the transducers and the final voicing employ the advanced methods my colleagues and I have been developing over the years. Technology, that has already proven successful on FLASHLINE TFS64 amongst other products.
We are currently finalizing safety certification and DSP presets for us to release the product, a product we are very proud of.

Feel free to ask any questions if you have any.

Kind regards,

Andrew Pardoe

What are the new things in TLX, what is different then the ELX? Why you dont sell ELX anymore?

Re: Uli Behringer of The Music Group Q&A

Rob but if your refering to me your wrong! .. I purchased a piece of equipment Behringer is bullshit using schematic as and excuse to provide me with one! We all know about all of these lawsuits of copying other products they got into hot water before! I can prove each court case and point! I can go to GM and buy service literature to fix my car GM is glad to help me out ! I am certified Electronics Technician and have even designed circuits for Peavey Electronics .. I am an Electronics Engineer ! Excuses are pathetic & Bullshit smells!

Your spelling and grammar leave a lot to be desired, you are trying to dig up a topic that has been discussed ad nauseum with out resolution, and you are making claims that are most certainly BS.

Obvious troll is obvious.

Re: Uli Behringer of The Music Group Q&A

Does anyone on here know the difference from a AND-OR-XOR-NOT-NAND-NOR-and-XNOR to a flip flop! or a sine wave or square or a scan derived supply really Lsi Vpp ? Lets really talk engineering! Or maybe knows the difference between an operational amplifier slew rate and frequency response .. Your out of line Rob play with your mixers!
You are out of line!!

You seem pretty angry... If you can design electronics, you should be able to repair an electronic circuit without a schematic, I have numerous times.

You are entitled to you opinions but you will have a better chance of getting help if you ask nicely.

In the US there have been some consumer protection actions in the automotive industry to allow independent mechanics and owners to access locked technology in their cars to effect repairs. I do not expect any such consumer agency interest into MI gear.

This sounds like an opportunity for you to sharpen your electronic circuit analysis skills by repairing your unit without a road map. Back in the bad old days, hand drawn schematics had mistakes so we often had to figure out what was really going on even with the schematics.
