Thanks for this, Victor. My contact at Fluke is in a different division than the data division, and he is learning at the same time.

This thing you posted looks like it evaluates over time, rather than a static measurement, which is good. The huge drawback of the DTX is that is seems to do only static measurements, and we have a dynamic phenomenon.

I've passed the link on to him, will post here when I know something.

The Great and Mighty OZ has spoken! I didn't keep of the old cranky guys lawn when I was a child and I won't now! Tim please consider any questions I have for this forum to be directed at anyone but you. I didn't read anything at all! I just had some money and bought the desk on a whim! The manual is not well written. The question popped into my head and after having the S16 for only one show I thought I'd better get an answer fast and I knew someone in here would have it and be willing to share it with me. I didn't ask where the power switch was! So ESABATM! It's an Acronym.

Hey if I offended you then I apologize! I do appreciate the help I get in here and state it every time someone is kind enough to help me. I have been a member of many forums and helped a ton of people in the Presonus forum. What I never do is put myself above someone else because I have more knowledge than them. I never saw a post and thought "I'm too smart to give him or her that simple answer". I get the fact that people don't read when they should. I am not one of those people. I'm just saying if you don't want to help me then don't. If I ask a question that seems stupid then consider yourself lucky that you contain that much knowledge! Again I directed the previous post to one person. I'm sorry if you felt it was to you or the entire forum....

Hi Joe
What would help would be a through, we'll written manual, in electronic form so that it is easily searched. I realise that the platform is being updated on a regular basis, which is very good and really appreciated. However the manual and other information currently let the product down.

Maybe the manual should be converted to a wiki which maintained by behringer. This helps to spread new informatin and changes on the product very fast. And it is more flexible in the structure than a linear manual document.

Wouldn´t be CHRISTIAN BOCHE not the right Person to write and moderate that Crowd Source Projekt - because he is one of the most expierenced Beta Testers from Germany out there -lives near by the German Development Center - by the way i hoped to see him at the Pro light and Sound as an X32 Desk presenter. Or perhaps there is an Roadshow coming.

In a nutshell: I don't have the time for this - I do have familiy buisness, you get the picture. In addition, my english sucks big time, not a good requirement for technical documentation.
But I hope too, that we'll find a helpful soul for this "job".
Please realise, that I don't work for Music Group and I truly hate music fair like Musikmesse and such.
So all my commitment to the X32 topic is just a "hobby" for me and it will always be.

Some adjustments had to be made:

X32

Mixed FOH and monitors at a 50th Anniversary Performance for a local highschool last night. 15 acts with >2 minute change overs, hurray for Scene Recalls.

Here is my FOH setup including the X32, having three forms of communication to stage (Talkback, Clearcom and radios) got to be confusing at times. We soundchecked each act and saved a snapshot before moving on to the next. A good festival patch combined with a good stage crew made the show a success.

That statement is wrong in so many ways that I can't even begin to list them all :razz:

I believe that moderating such a project is a job for a group of people, and that someone that is actually getting paid by Behringer needs to lay down a structure for the project.
When you look at what would be needed for this to be a success, we are talking about many hours and a fair bit of dedication, more hours and dedication than can reasonably be expected from someone that isn't either young and enthusiastic or getting paid. There are people already getting paid, they have job-titles that suggest they should be actively contributing at some level.
I think there are a few of us that don't mind contributing at some level, the problem is that most of us find it difficult to commit to something that might take up a lot of time, and then being guilty of not fulfilling our part of the bargain and holding the project back, or even worse; letting the project get in the way of our daily "real-world" commitments.
 
Hard drive recording card

Hi Behringer guys

Are there any news about the new recording card for the X32?

I saw a video from PLS where Jan is mentioned, that the card can record probably 32 channels direct on hard drive. How about the interface? Is it posible to record only a selection of tracks? Can I play back a selektion of the recorded tracks? Is a USB 3.0 Hard drive required? When will the card in stores?
